Join Ada, from Club Home Made, for a recipe demo that incorporates the use of seasonal produce. She will highlight basic knife skills and basic cooking skills, while also having a discussion about the state of local farms in our area, and ways to easily incorporate seasonal produce in to your weekly, Covid-cookin'.

Ada will be splitting all tips with Texas Farmers Market!
Ada Broussard was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she grew up in a Cajun home, rich in foodways. While attending graduate school in Jerusalem, Ada lived in a small apartment located just above the market where she developed an intense curiosity for local food systems. She has worked for local farms ever since. After managing one of the country’s largest CSA programs in Austin, Ada realized she had become pretty proficient in the kitchen - especially when it came to utilizing seasonal ingredients. Along with another farmer-friend, Ada has founded a meal prep club in Austin called Club Home Made that is the first of its kind: part happy hour, part cooking class, and part CSA. Ada spends her time teaching cooking classes, farming, and working on the hill country ranch where she lives.
