Shellie Hayes-McMahon is a fierce advocate of women from all walks of life stepping into roles of power. She is currently Director of Operations for Annie’s List, Vice President for Political Action of Black Austin Democrats, Williamson County Precinct Chair, 2020 Women’s Rally at the Capital Committee Chair and Ordained Minister. Before joining Annie’s List, Shellie spent 25 years in Management, as well as running for office in 2018. Her belief is that the most vulnerable in our society must be protected and the best way to do that is by electing more women to office.

Elected to the Texas Legislature in January 2014, Rep. Celia Israel serves on the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety and House Committee on Elections, focusing on public safety and making voting easier for all Texans. She serves as Vice Chair of the Texas House Democratic Caucus, overseeing the Steering and Policy Committee. Raised in El Paso, Texas, Rep. Israel moved to the Austin area in 1982 to attend the University Texas at Austin. After graduating with a degree in Government, she served in Gov. Ann Richards’s administration, tasked with recruiting the best and brightest to public service. Rep. Israel is a licensed Texas Realtor who lives with her long-time partner, Celinda Garza, and their dogs, Kia and Pippa, in Northeast Travis County.

The Honorable Erica Thomas is a trailblazer, as one of the youngest members of any state’s legislative body and one of the first orphans to hold political office. She is a versatile young leader serving in many capacities as author, speaker, mentor, philanthropist, political consultant, media personality, nationally renowned foster care advocate, Brand Ambassador and Georgia State Representative, representing Georgia's 39th house district in Cobb County. Her growing list of achievements include: recipient of a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack H. Obama, Apex Society’s “Power 30 Under 30”, and Atlanta’s Who’s Who “Most Influential” Award. Rep. Thomas resides in Austell, GA with her husband OJ and their two daughters.

Royce Brooks is the Executive Director of Annie’s List, a statewide organization dedicated to recruiting, training, supporting, and electing progressive women across Texas. Since joining Annie’s List as its Executive Director in July 2018, Fort Worth native Royce Brooks has led the organization to its most successful election cycle ever, with over 1,000 women trained, a record 37 women endorsed, and a record 31 women elected, including every Annie’s List incumbent on the ballot. Royce previously served as the first-ever Chief Equity Officer for the City of Atlanta, working with city leaders, researchers and community members to develop a policy agenda addressing structural drivers of inequality. Royce served as the policy director for Sylvester Turner’s successful 2015 campaign for Mayor of Houston, and for Wendy Davis’s 2014 campaign for Texas governor. She has worked in both houses of Congress and as a policy analyst with a public policy research institution focusing on issues of concern to communities of color. Royce is a sixth-generation Texan.
